Hot chimney draws fireman to house south of town
Two fire alarms, two fire trucks, two crews, two ladders – add up to real life fire practice at an older home south of Road 18 east of Highway 97. Not much smoke, hot cinders, firemen on the roof. All that on fire practice night in Oliver.

Volunteer appreciation lunch
Interior Health (IH) hosted a appreciation event Wednesday for volunteers from SOGH, McKinney Place and Sunnybank Centre. This includes IH volunteers as wel las the Sunnybank Centre Ladies Auxiliary, South Okanagan Healthcare Auxiliary and Desert Valley Hospice Society.
