Crash victim airlifted out of Oliver at 8pm
Chopper pointed his nose into the sun and headed south and likely west to Vancouver for the best burn unit in BC at Vancouver General.
The plane
Most likely a Beechcraft Bonanza 36 similar to picture shown here. One source indicated that a plane similar was to leave Oliver today for the coast. This pilot, a resident of Osoyoos, was heading to Boundary Bay airport today. Nothing has been confirmed by the authorities.

Highway 97 was closed late this afternoon north of Osoyoos (near 122nd Avenue) after a single-engine airplane crashed and burned on the asphalt.
