Day not perfect for a picnic but a small crowd attracted to Lion’s Park Saturday for a BBQ fundraiser for Marji Basso who is in a race to be selected by NDP members to represent this area. One of her supporter is called the Russian Cowboy who dropped in for the occasion.

Elks Lodge in Oliver has a new leader. Joanne Bray is the president. The old name of exalted ruler has beeen dropped. Oliver Elks celebrating 75th anniversary.
