Tight race sees Dick Cannings chosen
Party insiders say the vote difference less than 50 when 700 NDP’ers voted for a candidate for new riding of South Okanagan West Kootenay. Dick Cannings of Penticton was chosen by party members in a vote last weekend in Grand Forks. He outpolled Margaret Maximenko of Christina Lake, the only other candidate in the running.
