Less than two weeks ago, Mayor Hovanes was talking with the new Highways Minister in Vancouver complaining about Hwy 97 through Oliver. Maintenance crews working south through town patching and will turn around and go north shortly based on the orange markings on the roadway.

Floyd opened the hood of his newish camper and there it was a rat nest complete with chewed battery warmer. No sign of the beast but in all his years – never seen that with a rat riding the rails from a point of origin undetermined to this destination.
