NEW TANK IN THE RANK – Even though our cellar was full enough, we knew we had to add another tank to keep up with demand. The four tanks already in the cellar are named after rock’n’roll legends “Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young”. But now we’ve got a 5th tank, and who in music history could join that 60’s/70’s folk rock quartet? None other than Bob Dylan! So “Dylan” is our newest 1000-litre aging tank, custom built by Interior Stainless in Summerland, BC, bringing a rebellious attitude to the brewery.
22oz “WATER-BOMBER” BOTTLES – Though we still remain primarily a “draught” brewery (producer of keg beer), you may already have seen our logo on a few 22oz bottles at the liquor store. A 22oz (650ml) bottle of craft beer is called a “bomber”, but we prefer the name “water-bomber” in honour of the yellow tankers that fly through our hazy summer skies, dropping lake water on BC forest fires. Drinking natural beer locally is the best way to get the most from your beer drinking experience. Keep our beer in the fridge, and “refresh” your stock frequently
BRAND IN DEMAND – 2013 has brought a great amount of exposure to the Firehall Brewery brand. More and more Firehall Brewery decals are spotted on the rear window of motor vehicles outside of the South Okanagan region, painting the town of Oliver’s name across the province and beyond. Currently, the number of pub and restaurant locations pouring our draught beer full-time is thirteen (growing to eighteen depending on the season), from Osoyoos to Vernon. Nine restaurant and private liquor store locations sell our 22oz “water-bomber” bottles, from Oliver to Kelowna. But where are these exclusive locations?

DARK BEER WEATHER – As the sun sets earlier than yesterday, and we feel that winter’s on its way, it’ll soon be time to stock up on stout to thicken the blood and warm the soul. If stout ain’t your thing (and you actually gave it a try to find out), it’s alright, because ALL beer warms the soul The Firehall Brewery’s “Hydration Station” remains open on Fridays from 4-7pm for “growler” refills (growler = refillable half-gallon glass jug with a re-sealable screw cap lid), just the right size for a few brews with the dudes or a dinner party with friends and family.

so your Christmas doesn’t go without the freshest beer in town. Besides, we all know what Santa really wants left for him when he drops by with presents.
CHEERS to November! And for many of us, it is MOvember, which means we’re growing MOUSTACHES for prostate cancer research fundraising and awareness. We’ll see you in the Firehall Brewery beverage garden at Oliver Live’s “MOVEMBERANCE ROCKS” music show and fundraiser this Saturday, November 30th. It’s in the hall beside Medici’s in the “ex-Catholic Church” across from the Oliver Post Office on Fairview Road, from 8pm – 1am. Figure out how to get a moustache on your face, and come down to support a good cause and have a good time!
