Alarms shut down Royal Bank
Royal Bank on Main Street closed early Thursday after alarms went off and Fire Department called. No noticeable smoke. Staff cleared the building. Someone will work on the premises over night and hopefully everything back in working order Friday. RBC cash machine is available only at Chevron. Doors at Downtown Royal sealed.
This is how they do it
Short delays north and south on Highway 97 – north of Oliver as Fortis replaces damaged pole. One truck keeps old pole and wires steady (out of ground) and 2nd truck inserts new pole. Wires then moved over. Mostly likely all done before darkness.
