Saturday accident
The lone occupant of a grey van heading south on (7600 block) Highway 97 north of Pinehill Place was lucky she did not receive serious injuries after falling asleep at the wheel about 11:30 Saturday morning. Police and ambulance called. Damage to the vehicle and a deer fence on the west side of the highway.

Crush coming or is that a stomp?
Gang of us in the vineyard picking grapes for Sunday’s Festival of the Grape. Twelve of us from Oliver, Vancouver and Ottawa spent a few hours picking about 1500 pounds of grapes for the stomp. The best way to get volunteers is to have a tailgate party!! Story line and pictures from Ed Dukes
