RDOS Area C – Area Planning Commission has viewed an application to the Agricultural Land Commission for the exclusion of Todd Browne’s used car business property south of Oliver. (Oliver Car and Truck Sales).

Mr. Browne did not appear for the meeting Tuesday but the APC decided to write a letter to the Commission stating opposition to any move of taking land out of the Farmland Reserve.

The subject property is approximately 1.88 acre (0.76ha) in size and is located approximately 0.14 km south of Oliver. The property is located west side of Highway 97. The front portion of the property (adjacent to Highway 97) is zoned commercial and used for retail automobile sales. The rear (westerly) portion of the parcel is zoned industrial and used for storage.

The decision now lies in the hands of the ALC.
