MARTIN CATTERMOLE FOR SCHOOL TRUSTEE

I am a lifetime resident of BC with the last 5 years as an Oliver resident.  Married with one son, I retired as a Director of Information and Business Technology. After retirement, I became a licensed real estate property manager and practiced for several years in the lower mainland. An active, long-time community volunteer, I am also an avid sports enthusiast and arts supporter.

Currently, I serve as:

Co-Chair – Frank Venables Auditorium
Committee (over $130,000 raised to date)

Director and Treasurer – Desert Sun Counselling Society

Vice-President –Fairview Mountain Golf Club

Previously, I have served as:

Vice President – NEPRO Credit Union

President and founding member of a union local within BC Central Credit Union

Rotary Centre for the Arts Fundraiser

Swim BC Director, local club president, and international level swim official

Football, hockey, and tennis coach

I believe education is the cornerstone of our society and I support:

• Putting students first
• Alternate education paths – trades, arts, sports academies, learning centres
• Ensuring ESL, Aboriginal and special needs students have the programs and supports they need to be successful
• Collaborative relationships with all staff to enhance student learning
• The SOSS Project including the Frank Venables Auditorium
