Oliver RCMP investigate a fire to a motorhome in Oliver which claimed the life of the owner’s dog.

On June 16, 2020 at 8:40am, Oliver RCMP attended to assist the Oliver Fire Department with a fire of a motorhome at 1074 Pine Ridge Drive, Oliver, BC.

The motorhome was the primary residence of the owner and was fully engulfed when emergency services arrived.

The owner suffered minor injuries while attempting to extinguish the fire and sadly his dog perished.

Investigation shows the fire was non suspicious, having started when a towel fell onto a hot plate.

Home trailer ablaze on Osoyoos Band Land on Pineridge Rd east of Harmony Crescent.

No one believed to be inside. An investigation will determine particulars.
