What He Did NOT Say

After the resurrection, when Jesus came to His disciples who were behind locked doors, there are things He could have berated them for. But He didn’t! Here are some examples of what He COULD HAVE SAID.

What are you doing here, you cowards!

I told you this would happen. Why didn’t you believe Me. After investing over 3 years of my life in you is this the result? Where were you when I needed you? You all promised to stick with Me no matter what. But you didn’t! I saw some of the women at the cross, but most of you were not there.

Peter, you’ve been the leader and you denied you even knew Me! You were scared of the servant girl. How could you? Have you learned nothing?

If He were to appear in your presence (or mine) right now, would He be able to say some similar things? What He DID say to them, and would say to us, is: “Peace be with you.” Be encouraged.

He still loves us.
