Willowbrook Chlorine Contact System – Award of Construction

RECOMMENDATION 7 (Weighted Corporate Vote – Majority)

THAT the April 6, 2020 Award Recommendation Report from Associated Engineering Ltd. for the “Willowbrook Chlorine Contact System” be received; and,

THAT the “Willowbrook Chlorine Contact System” construction project be awarded to Grizzly Excavating Ltd. in the amount of $74,963.04 plus applicable taxes; and,

THAT a contingency for the construction in the amount of $20,000 be established.d

Motions above are perfunctory – to be discussed, finalized and passed next Thursday at an RDOS meeting in Penticton.

In December 2016, the RDOS in consultation with the Interior Health Authority (IHA), issued a Water Quality Advisory (WQA) for the Willowbrook system in response to continued detections for Total Coliform bacteria in the system.

The remaining costs would be recovered from users of the Willowbrook water system.
