The victim of an apparent domestic dispute last week in Osoyoos has died.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP confirmed Friday the 61-year-old female victim of an alleged assault ten days ago has died, but the cause of death remains under investigation.
Court records identify her as Tina Seminara.
Her husband, Rod Flavell, 62, was initially charged with aggravated assault and is still behind bars awaiting a first real court appearance.
Osoyoos RCMP Sgt. Jason Bayda told ODN: “Our major crime unit from Kelowna has taken carriage of this investigation. As such they will arrange all media releases going forward.”
Seminara was active in the fitness community and advertised herself online as a yoga and Zumba instructor.

On April 8, 2020 at 11 p.m., Osoyoos RCMP were alerted to a woman in need of possible medical attention inside a residence located within the golf course subdivision. Frontline officers responded to the home where they located a 60-year-old woman in medical distress, suffering from obvious trauma.
The victim who suffered what are believed to be life threatening injuries, was transported by BC Emergency Health Services to hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
An Osoyoos man has been arrested in connection to the incident. Roderick Ashley Flavell has since been formally charged with aggravated assault by the BC Prosecution Service and remains in custody at this time.
