Canada has been exposed to many days of graphs and estimations and projections on how many people could die in Canada because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Dr. Bonnie Henry says BC wants to look at real data, what is happening, not models that are not very good at projecting death rates. Each province has different facts and all have contributed to the national figures but it is not helpful in her mind.
Henry says the people of BC are doing a great job, listening to authorities and controlling behavior. And she needs more help but these published models have limited use.
BC, she says is more concerned about the stats today, what to do, how to hold the line etc. rather than using modelling that projects possibilities. She was emphatic at saying ‘that data is not helpful’.
