Maria Delfina Silva

February 13, 1948 – March 30, 2020

On Monday, March 30, 2020, Mrs. Maria Delfina Silva of Oliver passed away peacefully at the Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years.

She was predeceased by her husband António Goulartt Silva; father João Ináçio Azevedo: mother Maria Delfina and grandson Simon Christian.

Delfina will be fondly remembered by her loving family including daughter Cecilia (Shawn) Christian and grandchildren Nathan and Benjamin, four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; son Norman (Genevieve) Silva and grandchildren Cassie, Madia, and Gabriel; daughter Lucy (Jesse) Silva and grandchildren Alycea and Mya; brother João (Maria Evelina) Azevedo as well as many extended family and friends.
Delfina spent most of her employable years working hard in the family orchard and raising her family.

Over the years her favourite travel destinations were California and her beloved Pico. She was a devoted volunteer at the Oliver Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store and parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church.

Delfina enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

A private family funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by interment at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.
