I just happened to be at a four way stop near the Rec centre…………. when four police were flying through several stop signs. One suspect arrested at the top of Eastside Avenue at Bellevue Drive.

Suspect nabbed – search warrant executed
Cpl. Christina Tarasoff: On March 13th, 2019 Oliver RCMP executed a Search Warrant at a residence in Oliver. Over the weekend Oliver RCMP received a number of reports of theft from vehicles. Through investigation some of the property that had been stolen was believed to be in a Oliver residence where the tenants are known to police.
Oliver RCMP applied for and were granted a Search Warrant, which was executed at the residence without incident. A number of items were located inside of the residence which police have been able to confirm was stolen from one of the vehicles. A female has been arrested in connection to this stolen property, the matter is still under investigation.

A second report of an incident with an ambulance and four police cars at the Oliver Community Hall grounds this week has not been confirmed by police.

A vehicle on fire near the High School/District Maintenance yard Monday.
“Vehicle went off the road on Spartan Street behind the school maintenance building. Crashed through a fence and caught fire. Crews were quick on scene to extinguish the fire and keep from spreading to the shop. RCMP and BCAS were called to assist and attend to the occupant of the vehicle. His condition is unknown – file turned over to RCMP” – Rob Graham Oliver Fire Department
