Recently I put out the call for people to declare their candidacy/intentions for election – on Oliver Daily News.

So far only two responses and we will hear more from them in the days ahead

Oliver Council

Mayor Ron Hovanes and his entire council have not said they will stand but they will

Aimee Grice ran last time in a by-election and she will run again

Board of School Trustees – District 53

Chair Rob Zandee has indicated he will run again. Most others will be in the running. Former chair Marieze Tarr has indicated she is not running again. At least one other Trustee may not not run again.

Osoyoos Council

Only one seat on council is open at this moment. Councillor Mike Campol is not running again. One other councilor says she is debating the merits of staying on or not running.
