A throng of grateful admirers turned out to the Open House held at the Oliver Library on Thursday to honour Vicky White who has served our community as Head Librarian for 31 years.
Don Nettleton, CEO of the Okanagan Regional Library, was the first of many to offer his appreciation for Vicky’s tireless efforts in creating such a welcoming ambience and valued service to our community. There were remembrances and laughs and gifts, and a special tribute from the Friends of the Oliver Library, formed under Vicky’s guidance twenty years ago.
She is now an honourary lifetime member of that group. A well-earned retirement indeed, Vicky, and we wish you all the very best.
