I can address you and also address an envelope. But then again I might address an issue or a question or a situation as well. To address is to, uhm, well it could be a number of things. At this moment I am addressing the various meanings and uses of the word address. So in this instance I am meeting the task head on, meaning I am addressing it. Sheesh

A Commencement Address is a speech, usually from a prominent elder, to the whole class at a College. It is about encouragement and high possibilities, about belief in the potential of the students as contributors to society. Gee, it might be nice if someone would offer me a Commencement Address once in a while. Feels like it could address my self doubts. I like this kind of address
