On August 10th, 2018 Oliver RCMP received a report from a local resident advising of a generator that had been stolen during the early morning hours from their property. Oliver members began conducting pro-active checks within the community and within a hour of being reported stolen police successfully located the generator.
The suspect, who was immediately arrested by police, was also driving a vehicle which had been reported stolen out of Penticton 3 days prior. A number of items were located in the box of the truck which are also believed to be stolen. Although the investigation is on-going, the suspect, who resides in Penticton, will be facing a number of charges, including Possession of Stolen property.
A job well done by our Oliver officers!
