Has the Oliver price of gasoline gone up?
Sky high?
Watching the news on TV and in Vancouver – the price has risen to +1.50 a litre with more increases expected before summer.
Many reasons given: value of our dollar, carbon taxes, refineries shutting down to refit, etc.
I filled up quickly today. The lady at the counter at 7-11 said she thought the price had gone down since the last time she checked.
It would seems western Canada has lots of oil and not enough refineries. We seem to like to stick it in a pipe and send it elsewhere.
Our governments should take a larger role – why not a chunk of the market owned by the people – those that invest, buy shares, buy the product – share in the wealth and maybe at the same time – control the marketplace. Is that socialism or just a good idea – tried once and killed by the oil lobby.
Is that a raven on the pump shelter?
