Charges:
Incident January 5 – Two counts of assaulting police officers 45396
Incident February 24 – Four counts: Assault, Assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, break and enter with intent 45640
Back in court Tuesday March 6th to determine the next step in the case. Louie remains in custody.
Some history:
In May 2012 he was arrested after a violent incident. He was convicted a year later of a vicious attack on a woman on the reserve of the Osoyoos Indian Band at Oliver.
In January of 2014 – sentenced to a 5 year term of incarceration. Released in June 2016 because of time served since his arrest.

The current allegation against Louie – an incident occurred 2 a.m. on February 24 in a home where a couple were sleeping, they awoke to loud knocking on the residence door. The door was kicked in by the accused and another man and the assault occurred. The victims stated that Louie was not wearing a mask and was easy to identify as he lived across the street on the reserve in Oliver.
The Crown told court – Louie has a long criminal history and it would be seeking federal time for these offences.
