The Oliver RCMP responded to the following calls for service over the last week: Motor vehicle incidents (Traffic complaints and motor vehicle accidents), various Assaults, Suicidal Persons, a Sudden Death, Thefts, Break and Enters, Unwanted Persons, Unspecified Assists and Assist General Public calls.
Investigations of Note:
February 9th Theft from insecure vehicle – wallet stolen.
February 11th Theft of a 500 Gallon propane tank.
February 12th Break and Enter to a residence – numerous items were stolen including a motorcycle and bicycle.
February 14th Break and Enter to a residence – residence was left insecure, a small number of items were stolen.
Oliver members also responded to a report of a suicidal male over the weekend. Penticton PDS was called to scene and Oliver and Osoyoos members searched extensively for the male. Thankfully, the male was safely located a number of hours later.
Numerous calls were received of unwanted people in residences, all of the calls involved drugs or alcohol. Oliver RCMP would like to remind people to choose wisely who they want to invite over to their houses. If they need to be removed by police they probably are not the best guests to have over.
We wish everyone a safe weekend.
