Today was to be a preliminary hearing on a number of charges laid by the crown against this Oliver man of no fixed address. Two witnesses from Princeton failed to show – warrants were issued – and the hearing will continue once they are found.
Other developments:
1. Charges of attempted murder have now been dropped due to the death of a witness at Oliver
2. More charges have been laid for unrelated incidents at the Okanagan Correctional Centre at Oliver
3. A ban on publication was issued previous to a bail hearing on information related to the charges that the Crown intended to proceed on.
