Harry Edward Bray
August 19, 1936 – December 6, 2017
On Wednesday December 6, 2017, Mr. Harry Edward Bray of Oliver passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 81 years.
He was predeceased by his father Harry (Stiffy) Bray and mother Norma Bray.
Harry will be fondly remembered by his loving family including brother Gordon Bray (Helen); wife Joanne Bray; children Dawn Bray, Joseph Bray (Muriel “Ducky”), Bonnie Chase (Bray) and Kathleen Bray all of Oliver; step-children Randy Reinholdt of Nanaimo, Trevor Lewthwaite of Kelowna and Darlene Lewthwaite of Oliver; grandchildren Jason Poulin, Robbie Chase (Alicia), Megan Tanner (Jordan), Jennifer Teichrib, Molly Teichrib and Andrew Teichrib; step-grandchildren Tatum and Kai; great-grandchildren Kingston, Zen and Ziaden as well as many extended family and friends.
Harry enjoyed a long career in the fruit industry of around 30 years. He also worked on a pipeline and in a Silica Mine. Harry ran a registered trap line for 40 years. Harry loved the great outdoors and golf which was his other great passion in life. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Harry lived with and was mentored by Indian Chief Manuel Louie who was the wisest man Harry ever met. Harry was a long time and very active member of the Oliver Elks #267 for many years.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday December 16, 2017 at the Inkameep Community Hall.
