Suspected thief in South Okanagan arrested

The Oliver RCMP have a suspect in connection with a string of property related offences.
On November 28th, 2017 local RCMP, with help from the Penticton South Okanagan Similkameen Regional Targeted Enforcement Unit, arrested Oliver resident Simon BELL, age 37.
BELL was arrested for a number of offences in relation to a rash of Break and Enters and Thefts which occurred in the surrounding area over the last few weeks.
BELL is currently charged with the following offences:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle ,
  • Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000,
  • Obstruction ,
  • Theft Under $5000 ,
  • Theft Over $5000,
  • Fraud,
  • Theft of Credit Card,
  • Prohibited Driving , and
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance .

BELL remains in custody with his next scheduled court appearance set for December 6th, 2017.
