The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) announced Thursday that Mr. Patrick Lantz has accepted the position of Fire Chief for the Willowbrook Volunteer Fire Department. Lantz is a resident of the area and has been an active member of the WVFD for 12 years. Pat is an experienced Fire Officer who previously held the positions of Truck Captain, Training Captain and Deputy Fire Chief within the department.
He replaces Brad Fossett who served for five year.
In Okanagan Falls, Mr. Rob Oliver has accepted the position of Fire Chief for the Okanagan Falls Fire Department.
Mr. Oliver is a resident of the area and has been an active member of the OKFD for 35 years. Rob is an experienced Fire Officer who previously held the positions of Firefighter, Training Captain and Deputy Fire Chief within the department.
He replaces Bob Haddow who served for 50 years.
In Osoyoos, Mr. Ryan McCaskill replaces long time chief Rick Jones. That process an election by fire fighters.
McCaskill moved to Osoyoos at age 19 and has been a volunteer with the local fire department for the past 17 years.
He’s also been a full-time paramedic with BC Ambulance.
In Oliver, Mr. Bob Graham continues his role as chief of the Oliver Volunteer Fire Department. He was appointed in March of this year and has served as a firefighter for 25 years in Oliver.
