There was a time long ago when people of differing views actually responded to each other in a civil manner. They also had intelligent responses not some cut and paste response often associated with nonsense>
Today I turned on my TV to find that may be starting to happen again. Lets forget about the court jester in Washington and look at what is stirring in the midst of chaos. Former Presidents from Herbert Walker Bush, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama, all coming together to do something for the victims ravaged by storms. They are starting to speak up against bigotry, against hate, against fascism.
All the things Trump and Bannon are made of. It is not a, when we’re in trouble togetherness, it is a “We are all American togetherness”. These men who are real leaders set aside differences of politics and party to support Americans in need.
Sometimes I think America Is a remake of the French Revolution. No not by beheading people in the town square. Its a revival of ignorance and petty daydreamers who want to go back to some simpler time that never existed except in the minds unable to comprehend, that the message being fed to them is not the measure of progress. Trump and Bannon decided to spread fear and hatred to advance an agenda that is not sustainable. I hear people spreading this message, and babbling about patriotism and being American.
To those who subscribe to this insanity pause and reflect. The hero’s, those who died fighting fascism will have fought for nothing if Trump and his ilk succeed. Our fathers and grandfathers went to war to fight against the very things these people are advocating for. We will never create a better world spreading hatred and fear. Today five Presidents put aside their differences and did the right thing. The six President, Trump sent a recorded statement. Then again Trump likely knew he wasn’t man enough to be on stage with the big boys.
