Just before noon on Sunday, October 22nd, one of our members was out for a Sunday walk with his wife on Blacktail Rd near Hwy 3 when they heard what they thought was a goat bleating.  Upon further investigation, the member found a car had departed the highway and was lying upside down in a ravine with a cry for help coming from the car.  AMFD Rescue 111, Bush 111, Car 111 and Engine 111 responded within minutes along with BC Ambulance and the RCMP.

First responders found the car’s driver lying close to the car and administered first aid, and prepared the subject for transport to hospital by BCAS.  The driver reported that the accident had occurred at 8pm Saturday.  The car was not visible from the highway.
