Re: FORTIS B.C. – 2017 RATE DESIGN APPLICATION
I am happy to announce that the RDOS will be applying for intervener status on the upcoming hearings into the two tier power rate design.
This motion passed unanimously at the October 5th board meeting thanks in a good part to a very informative presentation by Mr. Nick Marty from Osoyoos.
Special thanks should also be given to Director Terry Schafer his determination; also RDOS C.A.O. Bill Newell and Board Chair Karla Kozakevich, for helping to stick handle this confusing issue through the motion process and Directors Tom Siddon and George Bush for their outspoken support and of course to all the members of the board for seeing the importance of this issue. This in no part means the battle is over, this is just the start. It is now up to those of you who have been affected by this discriminatory tariff system to speak up. Requests and instructions for testimonials will soon becoming from the RDOS. This includes all municipalities and rural areas inside the RDOS. This is your opportunity to change this discriminatory system so take a few minutes to get involved in the future.
