Today is Saturday October 21. An orchard in Oliver near Road #2 has been torn out and the green wood is being burned, the smoke is coming toward my house and it is acrid and unhealthy for peoples lungs!
The fire department tell me they have a permit, there is nothing they can do! As it is a Saturday I am unable to contact any one in charge! This burning is not one pile, there are piles of trees, they are burning so the fire will go on for a long time.
This is unacceptable. Who gives a permit to burn an orchard full of green wood, apple trees, on a day that is rainy and cloudy?
Obviously the people who give the permits, do not live close by!
