The sixth annual Garlic Festival takes place this weekend in Oliver, all in support of a great program.
The event will take place at Hester Creek Estate Winery, which is hosting about 20 local garlic growers, artisan crafters, along with food trucks and live entertainment.
Admission proceeds will be donated to the Farm to Table Lunch Program at Oliver Elementary School.
The Farm to Table Lunch program sprouted in 2014 to teach students about the importance of nutrition while providing them with a healthy and locally sourced lunch.
The family friendly event attracted more than 2,000 guests last year, with even more expected to join the fun this Saturday.
The festival runs on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
