We are excited to be hosting Wine Capital of Canada Festival Weekend this coming Saturday & Sunday, September 30th and October 1st. The weekend celebrations include: the 6th Annual Garlic Festival at Hester Creek Winery on Saturday afternoon; then Oliver Cask & Keg on Saturday night at Community Park; Sunday morning starts with the Baldy Marathon offering 10K, 20K and children’s run; and the cornerstone event the Festival of the Grape starts at noon on Sunday also in Community Park.
Oliver Tourism Association is presenting the 2nd Annual Oliver Cask & Keg on Saturday night from 6 pm to 10 pm which will showcase local breweries, distilleries and cideries as well as food trucks and live music from Big Easy Funk Ensemble and DJ Mast3rBlast3r. This adult only event is expected to grow year over year and become as well-known as Festival of the Grape. Come check-out this exciting new event by getting your tickets in advance at Oliver Visitor or www.olivercaskandkeg.ca for $20, they will also be available at the gate for $25.
Oliver Tourism’s Signature event is Festival of the Grape, presented by Eastlink and celebrating its 21st year. This event showcases 50 plus wineries from around the area as well 18 food trucks, 60 merchants in the marketplace, Oliver Community Arts Councils’ Fall Art Show & Sale and a kids zone from Get Hoppy. There is also loads of entertainment for when you aren’t shopping or enjoying wine with Mazacote on the main stage with Affordable Music between the sets. Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association is also helping with hosting the Grape Stomp stage that will have 24 teams stomping throughout the afternoon and will feature an LED wall so that more people are able to watch this exciting event.
