Oliver Fire Department called to Sumac Drive Sunday with a complaint that orcharist using a group of burn barrels.
Pictures taken, fire put out and a heavy fine.

Folks it is suppose to be common knowledge or common sense – NO opening burning in the middle of a provincial emergency and local bylaws that restrict burning etc.

Oliver Fire Department calls for police assistance in each of these cases – so that a FINE can be imposed.

And it takes up valuable time for fire fighters – away from a business and more importantly their families.

This is the warning – no hands slapped. Fines – large ones.
