Will

To express confidence that a future event shall happen, we say it will happen. To say something will arise we predict it with surety. To have will is to have strength of resolve. His will is unstoppable would mean he is committed to something without wavering or excuse. To be willing is to express cooperation as in willing to accept the terms for joining a club or to wash the car

A will is a document explaining the wishes for distribution of assets after a person has died. Sometimes the people who are receiving the gifts will not be happy about who got what. The will of the people is expressed in the results of an election. I do wonder sometimes if the people have really thought through what they have willed into existence. Will you agree with this statement?

Willingness? When you ask me whether or not I am willing and let us say that I respond ‘yes’, what does that really mean? I don’t know about you but many a time someone has said they are willing and that is about all they contribute to the situation. Willing in word, nada in deed. I guess there are times when I just don’t want to admit that I am not 100% willing to do what you ask of me. Ever felt that?

Willingness is the foundation of accomplishment. I interpret willingness as total commitment to attaining the goal, a do whatever it takes kind of commitment. Am I willing to be human? By that I mean willing to be less than some kind of pre-decided perfect. I think the kind of willing we are talking about here is a willingness to Accept, not be judgmental, about others and about me. We will be human and that includes all the random, beautiful differences between us. Will you allow that? When we do that, we will lose one of the biggest sources of stress in life.
