A wildfire broke out on Anarchist Mountain east of Osoyoos Monday night.

Residents living nearby said the fire is spreading “really fast down the hill.”

The fire appears to have started halfway up to the viewpoint, about 11 p.m.

DriveBC said it hadn’t received a call from police or firefighters on a fire, but had “asked our maintenance contractor to investigate.”

Some traffic delays maybe experienced.
