The Oliver Parks and Recreation Society regrets to inform the community that the First Annual Raft Race Fundraiser, scheduled to take place July 15th at Rotary Beach, has been cancelled this year.

It was not an easy decision to cancel this event, however the response from the community wasn’t strong enough to continue. Oliver Parks and Recreation does have plans to revamp and relaunch the idea for the Raft Race again next spring or summer.

We feel that it would be a fun family experience to add to the community’s growing event repertoire.

Oliver Parks and Recreation is now focusing its attention on the Sunshine Festival, and more particularly, the Roots and Fruits Expo on August 19th.
