The BC Wildfire Service is assisting the Kaleden Fire Department with the wildfire just south of Penticton. Smoke is visible from Highway 97 and Highway 3.

Seven firefighters will continue to assist with the fire today. BCWS crews are not equipped to fight structural fires. BC Wildfire Service firefighters are currently protecting unaffected structures and areas of land around and within the perimeter of the fire, where it is safe to do so.
