Victor Joseph Lessard Aug. 12, 1934 – June 10, 2017

 

On Saturday, June 10, 2017, Mr. Victor Joseph Lessard of Oliver passed away peacefully at the McKinney Place Extended Care Unit at the age of 82 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Doreen Lessard; parents Lucien and Rosalie Lessard; sisters Helen (Gilbert) Brock and Delia (Maurice) Malenfant and brother George Lessard.

Victor will be fondly remembered by his loving family including son Shaun (Heather) Lessard; daughters Virginia (William) Avery, Arlene Lessard and Darlene (Kerry) Cunningham; brother Albert (Elaine) Lessard; sisters-in-law Thelma Pope, Belva Head, Milda Briere and Yvette Lessard; brother-in-law John Foulds; grandchildren Nikita and Natasha Cunningham and Joshua (Kerri) Lessard; great-grandchildren Rosalie and Ariana Lessard as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Over the years, Victor worked many different jobs but he truly enjoyed working on pipelines. He loved old cars and travelling to visit family as family was everything to him.

The family would like to thank Dr. Myslek and the staff at McKinney Place ECU for the care and compassion shown to Victor. Some of the staff were like extended family.

Donations are gratefully accepted for the Canadian Diabetes Association.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday July 11, 2017 at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Oliver Elks Hall.
