Hello from the Oliver Community Arts Council:
The Canada 150 Mosaic Mural project gets underway this week! The Town of Oliver announces there are still tiles available to paint. Pick a one-hour time slot on Tuesday May 30 or Wednesday May 31 to make your lasting mark. No previous experience or artistry required, just a little imagination and sense of fun! Bring your kids, your friends, your workmates, a team from a club or church — the more the merrier!
Book your hour slot here, for yourself, or for the number in your group:
or contact Town Hall at 250-485-6200 or admin@oliver.ca if you would like some assistance.
Want to know more? Here’s how it works:
The finished mural will be permanently installed in Oliver’s downtown area near the Town Offices and Archive Building. Each mural image is designed to connect seamlessly with others across Canada, and be part of a whole, using a train motif. Finished murals will become lasting memorials and will be photographed for use as souvenirs and displays such as a postage stamp series, colouring books, and an online legacy “train”.
