232 Bighorn Squadron – Air Cadets – Annual Ceremonial Review

232 Bighorn Squadron Commander WO Ryan Encina salutes Reviewing Officer Warden Steve DiCastri at the 74th Annual Ceremonial Parade and Awards Ceremony held at the Cadet Hanger.

At attention for inspection the Cadets look there finest, after the Cadets gave demonstrations in survival, how to purify water, first aid and seen in this photo, Lead Air Cadet Jeremy Tite and Lead Air Cadet Thomas Iannella tell us how to build a fire.

Flight Corporal Anna Mardian did not want to come to Cadets, now she speaks how Cadets are about community. What the Cadets learn now builds future leaders, and she says without leaders Canada will crumble. “These teams are the future – Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers.”   states Mardian

Deputy Commander WO Connor Schulz-Baldwin receives The Legion Medal of Excellence presented by Bruce Davies.

Squadron Commander WO Ryan Encina, the winner of the Spirit of Oliver Youth Award today, is congratulated by Reviewing Officer Warden Steve DiCastri for receiving the Lord Strathcona Medal, the highest award bestowed on a cadet in recognition of exemplary performance in physical and military training.
