ODN contacted ECO manager Dale Kronebusch at the Regional District this morning at 8: 38 am.
Only one person decided to sleep in his car overnight near Tinhorn Creek. No other homes evacuated.
No one contacted the reception centre in Penticton. All residents of the area notified about any possible danger by RCMP officers and Oliver Fire Department.
Oliver Daily News stands by all of its coverage and takes the position that it’s job is to inform – not SCARE anyone.
Other than the repairs needed – the situation in the area has returned to NORMAL status.
