Some discussion at the Regional District Thursday on the possible need to evacuate the residents of six homes at Twin Lakes – Friday or the weekend – if the water rises further.
But no alert has been issued.
An alert issued for Vaseux Lake residents…..
An evacuation alert issued for residents of the Testalinda Creek area….
The answer is to lower the lake level but the RDOS says this is in the hands of a local water district and a provincial ministry.
The RDOS says 87 truckloads of sand delivered to parts of the district along with 50 thousand sand bags. The main concern has moved from creeks to Okanagan Lake which is expected to rise to a high level in the next four weeks.
