Investigation into a targeted Oliver home invasion robbery continues
Oliver RCMP continues their investigation into a targeted home invasion type robbery which occurred Monday.
On Monday December 12, 2016, at approximately 1 a.m., the RCMP attended the South Okanagan General Hospital (emergency room) in Oliver and spoke to a couple who had been injured in a home invasion type robbery which had occurred at their home in the 5000 block of Sunflower Street, Oliver.
The victims advised police that three fully masked males, each armed with a weapon including two firearms, forced their way into the home and tied the two victims up. The female victim was “pistol whipped” resulting in serious head injuries. The male was not seriously injured in the incident. The suspects ransacked the home and left.
The victims made there own way to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators believe that the incident was a targeted event and not a random act.
