Another high school basketball season is upon us.
Southern Okanagan Secondary School is ready – with the boys primed to host their annual tournament this weekend.
The 56th annual Okana-Qen high school boys basketball tournament is set to tip off Thursday.
Six teams will take part.
SOSS, along with Mount Boucherie Senior Secondary School from West Kelowna and Penticton High School will compete in Pool B, with G.W. Graham from Chilliwack, Kelowna Christian School, and Clarence Fulton Secondary School from Vernon competing in Pool A.
Games begin Thursday with the host Hornets facing Mount Boucherie at 6:30 p.m.
SOSS will be back on the floor Friday at 11:30 a.m. against Pen Hi.
Playoff games are set for Saturday, with third place teams in each pool meeting at 10 a.m., and second place teams at 11:45 a.m.
The championship game between the two pool winners through round robin play takes place at 1:15 p.m. in the SOSS main gym.
