Seven-straight wins have vaulted the Osoyoos Coyotes into sole possession of first place in the Okanagan Division of the Kootenay International Junior B Hockey League.
The Coyotes finished off another perfect weekend with a 5-2 victory over Summerland in front of 341 fans Saturday at Sun Bowl Arena.
The teams entered the game tied for top spot in the Okanagan Division. The Coyotes, now 18-5, move two points ahead of the Steam and six points up on Kelowna with a game in hand on each club.
After a scoreless opening period, Summerland scored a pair of goals midway through the middle frame to take a 2-0 lead.

Osoyoos battled back to get within one when Brayden Durante scored with 6:32 to go.
Colin Bell took control of the game in the third period, tying the game with a power play goal at 6:21, and scoring the eventual winner at 10:06.
Connor Onstein and Ryan Roseboom scored insurance goals late in the third for the three-goal margin of victory.
Austin Steger and Daniel Stone each added a pair of assists.
Adam Jones stopped 31 shots for the win in net.
The Coyotes entertain 100 Mile House Saturday, Dec. 3 at Sun Bowl Arena.
