The clock turned 6:15 – and the lights came on!

Hundreds of residents came downtown Friday evening to celebrate the official Light Up of downtown Oliver.

After the countdown from 10 – with Mayor Ron Hovanes and Santa at the microphone – Santa’s sleigh lit up above Town Hall.

Many downtown businesses stayed open, with members of the community walking the streets to check out the deals, visit with neighbours, and listen to the carollers entertaining along Main Street.
