Food Secure Oliver Forum informative

food-secure1A Community Planning Forum for Food Secure Oliver is taking place today at the Oliver Community Centre.

More than 30 people are attending the Forum. They are representing a variety of local groups, from the Food Bank, to business owners, to local growers.

Funding for the project has been provided by the Community Food Action Initiative, in cooperation with Interior Health, the Town of Oliver, and Plan H.

The group is discussing the vision, from what a food secure Oliver would look like, feel like and taste like.

Another topic discussed was, what would total success look like for this project, and for the community.

Guest speaker Gine Ironmonger, from IncrEDBLEtrail in Trail is currently on stage.
