An adult male has perished in a motor home fire on a property near Oliver.

On Tuesday, November 15, at around 5:30 p.m., the Oliver RCMP and Fire Dept. were dispatched to attend to a motorhome fire located on an open property in the 3000 block of NkMip Rd, near Oliver.

Once the fire was extinguished fire fighters located the body of a deceased adult male inside the trailer.

At Around 5 p.m., residents of the make shift camp/park observed flames coming from the motorhome, and rushed over to help. Witnesses were unsure if the trailer was occupied and attempted to gain entry, however they were unable to do once it became engulfed in flames.

The Oliver RCMP and BC Coroners Services are currently investigating the fire and the man’s death.
